Right, well, that foolishness is over with. Fortunately Vernon is around to bull his way through the first door and the others feel obligated to follow him into peril, who knows why, so we have begun our Dot-related activities. We are taking a two week break in order to allow Blink and Kestrel to train, which seems of questionable wisdom given that the King of Mantar may be waiting for us to assist him in retaking the kingdom, but I have been outvoted.

Thus far the tests have been approximately identical to our first dream. Nobody has died, we haven't turned back, etc. The sign out front has been forgotten, I think.

I have reconsidered my untold riches plan. I think I will get the scabbards first. I think a drum suitable for my possession may be difficult to come by and perhaps will need to be done specially for me, whereas scabbards should be obtainable. It's too bad that the elves are so unimpressed with money, despite the gauche efforts of my compatriots to convince them otherwise -- I'd rather have proper elven scabbards but I think that may be unavailable. Perhaps there will be some in the untold riches already though. And I am not sure I really need a restaurant of my own. I don't think other people necessarily deserve to be fed the same fine cuisine I have, and I will not need the profits once I possess untold riches, and there are probably some headaches involved with owning a restaurant that frankly I have no interest in dealing with. I think I will merely find a mansion with a nice kitchen. I wonder if I can fit an orchestra hall into the mansion? That would be convenient. I hate walking to work in the mornings. Although I could always buy a proper vehicle. Hm.
